Helped by brilliant World Triathlon Championship Series wins at WTCS Abu Dhabi and WTCS Montreal, victories in August’s Paris Test Event and the Championship Finals Pontevedra, Beth Potter’s glittering, title-winning season on the blue carpet made her the highest earning athlete on the Series in 2023.

The British number one’s prize money hit USD$169,100 from Series and Arena Games racing, while the men’s world champion Dorian Coninx of France earned USD$121,550. The woman who was with Potter all the way this season, Cassandre Beaugrand, earned USD$115,100 on route to finishing second in the world, while third-placed in the Series Emma Lombardi took home USD$67,600 across 2023.

On the men’s side, Hayden Wilde earned USD$108,800 as he finished the Series in second, third-placed Leo Bergere earning USD$69,100.

A total of USD$3.60 million was awarded across the 2023 World Triathlon Championship Series and Finals, the Mixed Relay Series and World Cup circuit, the Multisport World Championships and Paris Test Event.

At each of the six WTCS events this year, USD$200,000 was distributed among the top 30 athletes, with USD$330,200 across the top 40 finishers in the men’s and women’s Pontevedra Finals. Victory in a WTCS race earns the winner USD$19,000, gold at the Championship Finals is worth USD$30,000 and the world champions receive USD$70,000 from the bonus pool.
