Africa Triathlon

This is chapter one of a digital diary depicting the incredible journey of Isaac Kolela from Mamelodi Township in South Africa. The journey all started in Stellenbosch, South Africa when Isaac Kolela attended the BG-ITU Competitive Coaching Course along with 28 other coaches from 8 African countries.  It was here that Isaac Kolela met Jamie Turner from Australia who was one of the head coaches at the course.

This turned out to be no fleeting meeting as Isaac captured the imagination of Jamie with his yearning for knowledge and his infectious enthusiasm. It did not take much persuasion from Isaac to convince Jamie to visit his part of the world and his triathletes in the making in what is home for Isaac in the township of Mamelodi, South Africa. Jamie kept his promise and spent time with Isaac in his surroundings.

It was this experience that inspired Jamie to make a promise to Isaac that he would arrange for him to travel to Australia to advance his already natural coaching gift. This is only the first part of the story prior to Isaac leaving for Australia. The rest will follow in chapter two. Isaac is currently in Australia gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge and will travel home to South Africa early in December to grow the sport in his community and beyond. It is a great story that all started with a BG-ITU Coaching Course in Africa.

Este es el captulo uno de un diario digital que nos muestra el increble viaje de Isaac Kolela del municipio de Mamelodi en Sudfrica. Todo el viaje se inici en Stellenbosch, Sudfrica cuando Isaac Kolela asisti al Curso de Entrenamiento de Competicin BG-ITU junto con otros 28 entrenadores de otros 8 pases africanos. Fue aqu donde Isaac Kolela conoci a Jaime Turner de Australia que era uno de los entrenadores que encabezaban el curso. 

Esto dej de ser una reunin de trabajo ya que Isaac captur la atencin de Jaime gracias a su inters de adquirir conocimientos y a su entusiasmo contagioso. No necesit insistir mucho para convencer a Jaime que visitase el mundo en el que trabaja y su fbrica de triatletas, en la que es su casa para Isaac en el municipio de Mamelodi, Sudfrica. Jaime mantuvo su promesa y pas el tiempo con Isaac en su entorno.

Fue una experiencia que inspir a Jamie a realizar la promesa a Isaac y le pidi que viajase a Australia para avanzar en su entrenamiento. Esto es slo la primera parte de la historia antes de que Isaac vaya a Australia. El resto seguir en el captulo dos. Isaac est actualmente en Australia ganando experiencia y conocimiento y viajar a su casa a Sudfrica en Diciembre para hacer crecer el deporte en su comunidad y ms all. Es una gran historia que ha comenzado con un Curso de Entrenamiento BG-ITU en frica.
