Information
The federation was established in 2010 for the occasion of the All Africa Games 2011 in Maouto. It was dormant afterwards until 2020. As of 2021, the UMT organizes two events a year, the Lurdes Mutola Triathlon in april and the Triathlon of the Acacias in november. This has resulted in some 100-150 active athletes in Maputo alone. The UMT is now building its capacity as an organization.
